I'm Umm Khadeeja, a Parent and Homeschool Coach and Educator from the UK.
I started my own homeschool adventure when my eldest was aged four back in 2011, after having the opportunity to meet a bunch of homeschool families. They allowed me to peek into their little community with my children and I LOVED what I saw!
These families were not socially isolated and weird (as I might have previously thought...ahhem...don't tell anyone I used to think that!). They were raising their children to learn all the things I wanted mine to learn....good character, values, morals and most importantly, protect their Islam. I wanted in! And so I guess the rest is history because here I am now 12 years later, a massive homeschool advocate and active supporter!
Having completed the journey with my eldest child up to GCSE's this year, I can safely say we have experienced it all...the ups, the downs and the rounds and around! I know the early start fog that blinds you, and I want to assure you it does go away!
